Amaryllis Quartett introduces new violist Tomoko Akasaka
Tomoko Akasaka is the new violist of the Amaryllis Quartett. She takes over for Lena Eckels, who will leave the quartet after ten years for concecrate herself to personal projects. Born in Japan, Tomoko Akasaka plays concerts as soloist and chamber musician all over the world. She studied, amongst others, at the music conservatory Geneva under Nobuko Imai, while beeing her assistent at the same time.
The Amaryllis Quartett already gives concerts in the new cast. In Autums 2016 the last CD of the "Farbenreihe" - YELLOW - will be released on Genuin Classics. The recording will present works of Mozart and Schönberg in the interpretation of the old as well as of the new cast.
